Why apply?
The Youth City Council meets twice a month during the school year to discuss issues, share our voice, work with others, use our ideas and energy to solve problems and create positive change, and more. Outside of regular meetings, there are also opportunities to participate in community events, service projects, and leadership development. Members of the Youth City Council are encouraged to attend one city council meeting each quarter to stay up to date on City happenings.
Dedicated youth in 9th - 12th grades who live in South Salt Lake are encouraged to apply for the South Salt Lake Youth City Council.
