What We Offer
We put a specific emphasis on our youngest residents by providing a city-wide system of free opportunities that ensures our youth receive high-quality services year-round.
Afterschool Programs
Our free afterschool programs operate during the school year. Youth in grades K-12 who attend school in South Salt Lake, including those who are home-schooled, may be eligible to attend school-based programs. Programs at community centers can serve all youth who live, learn, work, play, or pray in South Salt Lake.
Summer Camps
Youth entering grades 1-12 who will attend school in South Salt Lake during the new school year, 18 year old youth who finished high school this year, and youth who are home-schooled, may be eligible to attend school-based camps. Camps at community centers can serve all youth who live, learn, work, play, or pray in South Salt Lake.
College & Career Readiness
Supports teens in making post high school graduation plans.
Youth City Council
The South Salt Lake Youth City Council amplifies youth voices and connects them with opportunities to serve and lead — providing tools, experiences, and confidence to strengthen their community and make a difference now and in the future. Youth in 9th - 12th grades who live in South Salt Lake are encouraged to apply.
Family support services
Our team of Family Liaisons work with families to increase self sufficiency, remove barriers, and facilitate access to resources through navigation, referrals, and education.
